This week I tried using the new Google Sites feature that allows you to add custom links. This was actually perfect timing because I have been trying to build a website that can be a resource for other teachers at my school who are trying to integrate tech into their classrooms.
One link I wanted to add was my Twitter page. I have been retweeting ideas that I think would be useful for the teachers in my district by using a new hashtag (#DVUSDTech). I knew I could embed my Twitter feed, but what I really wanted was to add a link to a new page that would actually link to my Twitter page. I'm super excited that there is now a way to do it!
To add a new page, you need to click on the "Pages" tab. When you hover over the "+" sign at the bottom of the page, you'll see two options pop up: (1) New link and (2) New page. To create a custom link, you'll want to click on "New link."
Once you click on "New link," a new box will pop up like the one below. You can give your page a name and then paste the link address.
I'm really excited about this new feature!
So, what do you think of the new Google Sites?
